Summer Outreach to Jewish Community in the USA
Summer Outreach to Jewish Community in the USA This summer, teams made up of Rock of Israel volunteers from across America will be in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Baltimore/Washington, D.C. and New York City to share the good news that Jesus is the Messiah for all people - Jew and Gentile.

According to Robert Specter, Rock of Israel president and Assemblies of God home missionary, volunteers typically come from churches where Rock of Israel ministers have shared about the Jewish roots of Christianity and the importance of sharing the gospel with Jewish neighbors, co-workers and friends.

"Most people don't realize there are more Jewish people living in the United States than in the land of Israel," said Specter. "We want them (Jewish people) to know that following Jesus, the King of the Jews and the Messiah, is the most naturally Jewish thing they can do."

Team members are given training on Jewish culture, history and apologetics, as well as the "how-to's" of street evangelism. "Volunteers, ranging in age from 18 to 80, often return home with a renewed commitment and ability to share the gospel with individuals in their own community," Specter added.
