Mary Magdalena film attracts masses in Galilee
Mary Magdalena film attracts masses in Galilee For the first time in Nazareth, 1000 women were gathered on the 14th March, to celebrate together the first showing and watch the Magdalena Film. The Film addresses women, and shows the value of women in the eyes of Jesus of Nazareth.

For example, Jesus is shown as relating to the woman who was caught in adultery by covering her hair back as an action of releasing her of shame!! At the end of the movie, Jesus appears to Magdalena, who had the privilege to be the first one to see Him after His resurrection.

Magdalena acts as narrator since she was healed by Jesus from demon possession. She then became one of His followers and so she traces the story of lives of those who came into contact with Jesus.

In addition, the film was displayed in Shafa-amer where 500 women attended, in Bethlehem (400 women) and small one before. It will soon be displayed in other locations all around Israel and the West Bank.

Mrs. Alia Grayeb, a teacher on pension and who was among the 1000 women who attended the Film displayed in Nazareth said to “Come and See” that the movie was very touching and it touched her like many other women who sat beside her who were crying during the Film. Mrs. Ghrayeb, a Catholic, said that she is very proud of Jesus Christ who dealt with women in respect, released them from fear and gave them the privilege to be the first to see Him after the resurrection.

One of the women in Life Agape staff said that maybe the movie was not in a Hollywood level of acting, but the message of the Film is the strongest and no other movie can compete with it. It is the message of Jesus Christ and His salvation to all: women and men. We are all the same in His eyes.

Life Agape In the Holy Land, invited the audience to watch the Film through billboards, newspapers ads and personal invitations, and reached all the women clubs in Nazareth and the area.

In addition, a week before the first showing, Life Agape, had a movie launching, held in Plaza Hotel Nazareth.

The Organization invited religious and society leaders in addition to the press. Bishop Botrus Moalem – a previous Greek Catholic bishop- attended the launching and spoke to the audience and said” Whatever we hear in our modern life about women’s rights, no one can put the women high but Jesus Christ”.

Life Agape in the Holy Land, has a busy schedule for the film showings for this month. The showings will include the Galilee, West Bank and Gaza. And it will end up in Jerusalem at the end of this month. The Arab world celebrates mother day on the 21st of March, and so Life Agape found it the best to celebrate this day, by showing the Film.

The film was produced in English but was dubbed to another 3 languages (Arabic, Russian and French) so far.

The Arabic language came among the first languages since the idea of the movie came as an inspiration of what is happening in the Middle East towards women.
