    Whose side is Jesus on?
Whose side is Jesus on? I have heard so many commentaries, opinions and ?experts? contributing to the discussions regarding who has the right to possess Jerusalem. Many of the secular comments disregard any spiritual basis for the current troubles in that region and they simply resort to emotions. Christian statements have proliferated into conversations of God?s fulfillment of prophesy and end-time speculation. As a Christian Palestinian, I understand very well the intimate and historical details between Israel and Palestine that have lead to the current chaos in that region.

Admittedly, had it not been for God?s touch on my life, I would have been tempted to persuade your sympathy after all I?ve witnessed first hand between Israelis and Palestinians. I am committed to being an ambassador for Christ and seeking only His perspective.

If you are concerned about God?s plan for the Jews, allow the Holy Spirit to reassure you that the Father?s perfect plan and the timing of it belong to Him alone. God alone is privy to such information and attempting to interpret end time prophesies does not edify, particularly at this time. God knows the date and hour when some of the Jews will accept Christ as their messiah. During the persecution of the early church, John believed Jesus would be returning soon and he wrote about living in the last hour. That was 2000 years ago.

I?m convinced that, just as Jesus did during his earthly ministry, he would motivate & encourage those of us who are his followers, to be the messengers of the Kingdom of God. Jesus did not tell his disciples to go into the world and interpret prophesies but rather commanded them to go into the world and preach the good news and to be the ambassadors for Christ. Being the light in the midst of hate & death isn?t easy, that?s why we desperately need the Holy Spirit because our flesh will instantly take sides.

God is not taking sides.

Issuing political statements/opinions, interpreting prophesies of end times and analyzing Arab/Jewish strategies WILL NOT sow into this harvest! The harvesters who work among the Jewish and Arab communities, such as this ministry, need prayers, not misguided speculation hindering the move of God. Regrettably I?ve heard ?Christians? speaking on this issue with misguided motives. Words of entitlement along with political agendas will not invite God to intervene.

Instead of cursing and focusing on why people would volunteer to kill themselves and others with a suicide bomb, let?s INSTEAD pray that the power of Christ would transform their minds. My definition of the word terrorist is one who sees those whom are dying without Christ yet chooses to turn his head and raise his arms in defeat resorting that it must be God?s will. This is equivalent to terrorism. God is not willing that ANY should perish. Let?s bless and stop cursing people who are lost.

?Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.? (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The lack of God?s biblical truth in both Israel and Palestine and the lack of acceptance in their hearts for Jesus Christ is the root of death and turmoil in that region. Comments about who is right and who is wrong are pointless, after all, we have the TRUTH so let?s go ahead and share that truth with the lost. God will generously give you the courage and boldness necessary for you to speak such truth! Simply ask and you shall receive?

We don?t battle against the flesh but rather against our one enemy, Satan. Let?s stand together, praying in agreement, that he can no longer manipulate men and women into pursuing his destructive plans. Make no mistake, Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy and he is seeking to devour whomever and wherever he is allowed.

Let?s revive our prayers for a new level of warfare and may God motivate and inspire you to seek his perspective.
