Pope Shnoda III calls for boycott of Israel
Cairo - Pope Shnoda III of Alexandria called for the need to stop all forms of dealings with Israel in order to force it comply with implementing international legitimacy resolutions.

In statements he made yesterday, he reiterated rejection to visit Jerusalem under Israeli occupation, pointing out that he will not enter Jerusalem except through an invitation by the Palestinian Authority. Visiting Jerusalem in the current conditions is considered a normalization of relations, he added.

Pope Shnoda said: We are not frightened by any Israeli leadership. He called for consolidating joint Arab action, indicating that the Arabs have big economic and political potentials which should be used in confronting Israel's attempts to impose hegemony on the region.
