Christian band takes part in efforts to host 2010 World Cup Egypt's president Hosni Mubarak will be hosting Fifa president Sepp Blatter in an attempt to gain his support for the country's 2010 World Cup bid.

Blatter, who is currently in Cairo, was invited by the Egyptian ministry of youth and sports and is accompanied by the Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed Bin Hammam.

Blatter and Hammam are scheduled to visit a number of sports facilities and tourist sites during their stay in Egypt.

Youth and Sports Minister Dr Alie El Din Helal has emphasized the importance of the visit, with the vote for 2010 World Cup host less than two months away.

"Seventy million Egyptians are enthusiastic and dreaming about hosting the 2010 World Cup," he said.

Mohamed El Siagy, member of the Egyptian bid committee, said other members of the Fifa executive committee are expected to arrive to Cairo in the run-up to the 15 May vote in Zurich.

Earlier this year, On January 25,2004, the Better Life was invited by captian Ahmad Shoubar to sing at the Cairo open stadium to welcome the FIFA committee as Egypt bids for the world cup. More than 25,000 people attended the celebration. The Team sang many songs one of which was "Mobarak Shaabee Misr" - "May the Lord Bless My Nation of Egypt".

"Come and See" Editor notes that it is very rare that a Christian band is invited to such an open celebration to promote a national project.
