There is no way to avoid it: If the Christian believers really want to obey their master, they should not just be praying “thy kingdom come” but truly pursuing it- even between Israel and the Palestinians.

We hope that the violence will soon cease, and that all of this will be behind us by the time you read this. But, nonetheless, the results of these acts of violence will remain with us, namely, the casualties, the suffering, and the elevated hatred and hopelessness on both sides.

Our tears are the salty gates for seeing a different reality;

Our tears are facing soulless nations and a parched mentality;

We need to pray not only for the cease of fire but also for advocating a new reality. We don’t want only to stop killing innocent children but we also want to raise our children with a different worldview and in a different world.

A Palestinian describes a joint prayer meeting of Messianic Jews and Arab Palestinian Evangelicals in Israel during the war with Gaza: "I was quickly able to identity myself as a sinner. This united us. We are a group of sinners in the presence of a Holy God. We can only compete in our confessions instead of claiming moral superiority".

Shadi, my student from Gaza, describes the situation in Gaza and reports that "at night people expect airstrikes and hope that it will not be their neighborhood or home. They are not able to leave Gaza."
Interestingly, Shadi is not harboring anger and revenge.
