The situation in Gaza is much worse than during any other conflict there has been before. Dear brothers are breaking down in agony due to the trauma they are suffering from the constant bombardment. Even amongst those who have not been killed, many lives will never be the same again.

Faten is a citizen of Gaza and a committed Baptist. I am amazed by Faten’s sense of divine sovereignty. She wholeheartedly believes that her life is in God’s hands. God is her refuge in Gaza. God called her to serve Him in this difficult place and she will honor her Lord.

There is no way to avoid it: If the Christian believers really want to obey their master, they should not just be praying “thy kingdom come” but truly pursuing it- even between Israel and the Palestinians.

We hope that the violence will soon cease, and that all of this will be behind us by the time you read this. But, nonetheless, the results of these acts of violence will remain with us, namely, the casualties, the suffering, and the elevated hatred and hopelessness on both sides.

Our tears are the salty gates for seeing a different reality;

Our tears are facing soulless nations and a parched mentality;

We need to pray not only for the cease of fire but also for advocating a new reality. We don’t want only to stop killing innocent children but we also want to raise our children with a different worldview and in a different world.
